Are you a student who is graduation from the Ecological Restoration Honours B.SC. - Joint Trent-Fleming Degree/Diploma?

Each year, the Kawartha Conservation Board of Directors donates $500 to the Fleming College Academic Awards Program. The money is to help assist you with the cost of continuing your education in a related field.

To be eligible, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Completed all 4 years of the program and, therefore, are receiving both the diploma and the degree
  • Excellence in academic standing over the 4 years
  • Intention to pursue graduate school in a related field
  • Demonstration of community involvement in advancing resource management.

2013 Award Recipient - Tyler Jamieson

Tyler Jamieson, graduating from the Ecological Restoration Honours B.SC. - Joint Trent-Fleming Degree/Diploma, received this year's 0 award.

Mr. Jamieson achieved a high academic standing in the program and demonstrated passion for issues impacting the natural environment. He is beginning a Master's degree at Trent University in aquatic science.

2012 Award Recipient - Cara Hernoud

CaraHernould webCara Hernoud is the recipient of our first ever Kawartha Conservation Board of Directors Award, which was presented by Chair Donna Villemaire and CAO Rob Messervey on June 1 at Fleming College.

Cara won the 0 bursary as a result of her excellent academic standing and for helping advance resource management in the community.

Cara is graduating from the Ecological Restoration Honours B.Sc.- Joint Trent-Fleming Degree/Diploma program, and is part of the first graduating class from this program. She is beginning a Master's of Science degree at the University of Victoria this year.
