Join us on Thursday, August 8 for the Conservation Classic Charity Golf Tournament at Sturgeon Point Golf Club.
The proceeds from this fun, nine-hole tournament will help support stewardship projects in 2019.
The Conservation Classic Charity Golf Tournament, hosted by Sturgeon Point Golf Club, begins at 4 p.m. with registration beginning at 3 p.m.
In the event of rain, the Conservation Classic will be held on August 15.
Cost is $60, and includes a BBQ dinner and prizes.
Register online at http://bit.ly/KawarthaClassicGolf by August 5, 2019 as a single, couple or team of four.
The raised funds from the tournament will support the shoreline naturalization at Sturgeon Point Golf Club, a rain garden, and pollinator patch on the grounds, and once complete Sturgeon Point Golf Club will act as a demonstration site for the community, setting an example of shoreline stewardship.
“We are happy to be hosting this demonstration site," said Mike Gascho, Director of Golf Operations. "It will help the lake and make our property more attractive at the same time.
“Our members, and our Board of Directors are eager to be leaders in the community as shoreline stewards," he added.
The tournament will be shotgun start and a best ball scramble in teams of 4. Regular and inexperienced golfers are all welcome. There will be a burger BBQ and prizes included to follow. A cash bar will be onsite. Sturgeon Point Golf Club and Kawartha Conservation need your help in raising funds for stewardship projects by attending a fun and relaxed evening of golf.
The proceeds will be donated to Kawartha Conservation to support the implementation of the shoreline restoration project being done at the Golf Club.
This project was identified through the Lake Management Implementation Action Plan as a site to help improve local water quality and habitat. The demonstration site will be showcased at the tournament.
We hope to see you there!
