Venue: Ken Reid Conservation Area
Join Kawartha Conservation Watershed Resources Technician, and resident birding enthusiast, Rob Stavinga for an educational and insightful Owl Prowl at Ken Reid Conservation Area on Wednesday, April 3.
Cost for the evening event is $10 per person or $15 for an entire family.
The evening will begin with a 30 minute presentation in the Kawartha Conservation boardroom on what the different types of owls look and sound like, their habitat and diet.
The April 3 Owl Prowl will be the first in a series of events held this year at Ken Reid Conservation Area, including a birding excursion through the park with Mr. Stavinga in May.
The April 3 Owl Prowl is limited to 20 people, so the event will be on a first come, first serve basis.
In the event of inclement weather, the Owl Prowl will be held the following Wednesday, April 10.
The Owl Prowl will begin at 7 p.m. with a presentation in the boardroom followed by an hour being immersed in the night time canopy of Ken Reid Conservation Area.
