Tree Planting for Mother Nature

Venue: Durham East Cross Forest

On Saturday, May 11, Kawartha Conservation and the Kawartha Foundation are inviting families and individuals to help Mother Nature in Durham East Cross Forest Conservation Area by planting endangered Butternut and companion trees.

Meeting at the Devitts Road parking lot at 10 a.m., the tree planting event will include planting nearly 300 Butternut and companion trees which will continue to help re-establish the endangered trees in the area.

All shovels and related equipment is provided, though interested participants are asked to bring their own gloves and to dress for the weather.
Interested participants are being asked to register in advance to help determine numbers for the planting event.
