Venue: Ken Reid Conservation Area
Join traditional western and community herbalist, Correne Omland on June 8th for a morning of herbal exploration and discovery! Wander the trails of Ken Reid and experience plants in their natural setting.
You will learn how to positively identify plants in the wild and how to use them medicinally in your life. Ethical harvesting of the plants will also be discussed. After the walk there will be an opportunity to browse Correne's apothecary product line as well as as questions!
Cost is $10 + HST per person and is limited to 20 people.
Note: we will not be harvesting any herbs during the walk as it is taking place in a Conservation Area.
Correne Omland is a Traditional Western Herbalist, forager and homesteader living in Kawartha Lakes Ontario. She runs Spiraea Herbal Clinic where she works one on one with the folks in her community to help gain a sense of health and wellness in a busy, tired and overwhelming world!
She runs Spiraea Herbs - an educational herbal blog, has an entire line of handcrafted herbal products and teaches classes and workshops in her local community. Correne lives in Glenarm with her son and husband on their half acre homestead where they strive to grow most of their own food and medicines using permaculture growing techniques and concepts.
