Tree Seedling Purchase Program
Tree Seedlings available for eligible landowners in City of Kawartha Lakes and other areas of Kawartha Conservation watershed
To order, please fill out the order form and mail or return it to Kawartha Conservation, 277 Kenrei Road, Lindsay, ON, K9V 4R1. Order soon while supplies last.
This program is a collaborative effort of the Victoria Land and Water Stewardship Council and Kawartha Conservation. Landowners within the City of Kawartha Lakes or within Kawartha Conservation's watershed region can order tree seedlings for their tree planting projects this spring if they own a minimum of two acres.
These trees are bare root seedlings ranging in size from 10 – 15 inches (25-38 cm) and are suitable for establishing windbreaks or shelterbelts; soil or stream bank stabilization; wildlife habitat or reforestation of small areas of land. Several thousand seedlings are available for purchase.
Pickup is tentatively scheduled for Friday April 25th and Saturday April 26th, at the Kawartha Conservation Administrative Centre, located within the Ken Reid Conservation Area, just north of Lindsay.
For more information about ordering seedlings, contact Kawartha Conservation at 705.328.2271.
