Fenelon Falls Brewing Company and Kawartha Conservation launch new partnership
“The Fenelon Falls Brewing Co. are stalwart supporters of the environment and the Kawarthas,” explained Kawartha Conservation Marketing and Communications Specialist, John Chambers. “This unique partnership literally fell into place during an impromptu discussion on how they could contribute to protecting our lakes for residents and visitors in their community.”
While full details won’t be announced until May 11, the partnership plans to focus on a long-term collaboration from mid-May until Thanksgiving weekend, with the environment and local waterways the main benefactor.
“During the design and construction phase we implemented a number of state-of-the-art environmental measures into the design of the Fenelon Falls Brewing Co.,” explained General Manager Mathew Renda. “The principles of design parallel the path chosen to support our community, which is a pillar of our business, fundamentally includes protecting the very environment and communities that makes the local craft brewery so special.”
Located along side the scenic Trent Severn Waterway, Lock 34, in Fenelon Falls, the brewery has been passionate about giving back to their community.
“During the current Covid-19 pandemic, we have supported the Ross Memorial Hospital through donating funds from the sale of our locally brewed beer,” said Mr. Renda. “Our Brew Master Russell, and everyone here at Fenelon Falls Brewing Co., is very excited about this new partnership and we can’t wait to see the community’s response.”
“Our lakes and rivers are so important to the environmental, societal and economic success of Kawartha Lakes,” said Kawartha Conservation CAO Mark Majchrowski. “Working with the Fenelon Falls Brewing Co. on this exciting partnership will have tremendous benefits for the long-term health of our environment and our communities.
“We are thrilled to be able to partner with this community-driven business and we look forward to sharing more details in the coming weeks,” Mr. Majchrowski continued.
Further details of the partnership will be announced May 11.
