Final week to contribute to our next strategic plan

August 17, 2021 – This is the final week to add your voice to the next Kawartha Conservation strategic plan by completing a short survey and providing your thoughts on the priorities and program areas that matter most to you today and into the future.

The current five-year plan launched in 2017 and ends at the end of this year. Kawartha Conservation remains committed to be leaders in integrated watershed management while ensuring the protection of people and property. We also remain committed to engaging with the Kawartha Conservation watershed community to better understand their priorities.

The last 18 months have seen a dramatic shift in where people live, work and play. It has also seen a shift in recreational priorities; have you tried to purchase a canoe or kayak, bicycle, or outdoor equipment?

This short survey builds upon program and priority areas identified by our Board of Directors, leadership team and staff. Now it is the community’s opportunity to help further identify the areas that matter most to them. Whether it is the farming community, business community, lake front property owners, cottagers, recreational boaters, education sector, seniors, young people, walkers, hikers, trail enthusiasts and more, your voice matters.

To help provide input, we are asking everyone to complete a short survey of priority areas. The survey covers three main priority topics and provides an opportunity for written feedback for items not included.
