Seven Forty Six partnership a Christmas gift to the environment

DECEMBER 5, 2022 – Seven Forty Six is supporting the community and the environment this holiday season launching a month-long 30 per cent off campaign on all Kawartha apparel through their online store. Throughout 2022, Seven Forty Six has partnered with Kawartha Conservation to donate 5 per cent of proceeds of the clothing line to support environmental initiatives across the watershed.

“This partnership has been really important to us,” said Donna Corneil, who along with husband Dave, own and operate Seven Forty Six, a seasonal destination location that includes the 746 Store, home and garden décor, food truck and The Outback stage and patio. “We live, work and play in the Kawartha Lakes, and supporting an organization who is dedicated to protecting the lakes, rivers, streams and land that are so important, makes perfect sense for us and for the customers we serve.”

Seven Forty Six shops Kawartha apparel has been popular with lake lovers, residents, and visitors to the area since it was launched.

“The lake series is first and foremost about comfort and quality, and about wearing your lake pride, showing your support for places like Balsam Lake, Sturgeon, Buckhorn, Simcoe and the Kawarthas in general,” explained Donna. “Our customers have embraced the clothing line and you can really see the joy people get in literally wearing that pride on their sleeves.”

From crewnecks to hoodies, t-shirts, Joggers and more, the Kawartha series makes the perfect Christmas gifts for people on your lists, and with 30% off for the month of December, getting those perfect gifts just got a little bit easier.

“Donna and Dave and everyone at Seven Forty Six has been tremendous,” said Kristie Virgoe, Director, Stewardship and Conservation Lands. “Their enthusiasm and support for our community, our lakes and our conservation areas has been so inspiring.

“They recognize that having a clean, healthy environment and conservation areas to enjoy attracts visitors and supports the business community and our local economy,” Virgoe continued. “Whether it is local residents who get to enjoy this special place we call home or whether it is seasonal residents or visitors who are enjoying all that the Kawarthas have to offer, that enthusiasm and attraction to the area starts with the amazing lakes and rivers, communities, downtowns, natural areas and green spaces, and businesses, like Seven Forty Six.”

There has never been a better time to check off your Christmas buying for those special people on your list with comfortable, quality-made Kawartha clothing. Your gift will not only be loved, but with 5 per cent of proceeds supporting local environmental initiatives, your gift will also support the environment.

“It really is a feel good gift giving idea this holiday season,” said Donna. “Kawartha Conservation has been working to support, protect and enhance our lakes and environment for more than 40 years. It is important to us to give back to an area that has given us so much to us and we felt directly supporting the environmental future of our communities was a perfect partnership.”

Kawartha apparel is available online through the Seven Forty Six online store at www.shop746.com/collections/kawarthas.
