OCTOBER 25, 2024 – Kawartha Conservation invites the community to review and provide feedback on the Draft Conservation Areas Strategy, a comprehensive plan that will shape the future management of over 880 hectares of natural spaces within the Kawartha watershed. This strategy addresses the increasing environmental pressures of climate change, habitat loss, and the growing public demand for accessible outdoor spaces, and outlines a clear, sustainable vision for the future.
AUGUST 23, 2024 –. Time is running out to take advantage of Kawartha Conservation’s Fall Native Plant Sale, with the opportunity to order closing on September 3.
Based on information received from Environment and Climate Change Canada, and the Ministry of Natural Resources - Surface Water Monitoring Centre, Kawartha Conservation is issuing a Watershed Conditions Statement starting Friday evening, August 16 and remaining in effect until Monday morning, August 19.
