A Flood Watch is now in effect for the Kawartha Conservation watershed jurisdiction. No widespread flooding is expected; however, flooding in low-lying areas, areas adjacent to streams and road ditches may occur.
Widespread flooding is not anticipated, however water levels and flows in watercourses across the Kawartha Conservation watershed jurisdiction remain elevated due to the ongoing spring melt and near saturated ground conditions. WATERSHED CONDITIONS STATEMENT – WATER SAFETY.
Based on information received from the Surface Water Monitoring Centre of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry, Kawartha Conservation is issuing a Watershed Conditions Statement for the upcoming weekend.
